This position within the Geographic Information Systems Department involves geospatial project management, system(s) analysis and engineering, geospatial application and solution development, database administration, database design, creation, and data management; does related work as required.
Additional responsibilities to include assisting walk-in customers, static and digital map authoring, reports and document digitization.
Example work includes:
- the creation and management of geospatial data and web map services using ESRI ArcGIS software and ArcGIS Online Solution(s), Experience Builder, Survey 123 forms using integrated workflows - online mapping applications, - HUB and Data Sites, - Story Maps and various geospatial approaches and applications to support internal departments.
Example departments and offices using GIS mapping and integrated services include:
- Community Development, - Economic & Agricultural Development, - Public Safety E911/NG911, Fire & Rescue, - Parks and Recreation, - Tourism, - Voter Registration, - Human Resources, - Commissioner of Revenue, Reassessment, - County Administration, and the Board of Supervisors.
Preferred applicants should have experience with applied GIS concepts and practices to support state and local government functions or similar.
Applicants should possess any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in geographic information systems and/or minimum of 8 years' experience in the operation of geographic information systems.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
