Systems Engineer / Cloud Engineer
Systems Engineer / Cloud EngineerWarrenton, VAOur client is looking for a Systems Engineer / Cloud Engineer to help contribute to an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems engineering life cycle.
You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
Daily
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure- Full cycle systems engineering of new capabilities- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools- Capability and requirement derivation based on customer needs- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks- Define structured and logical approaches to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that lead to a fielded product- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionRequirements:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject- 6
years of experience in System Engineering and/or combined Cloud Engineering experience- Experience with AWS or an Azure Cloud environment (AWS preferred)- Experience in systems-of-systems definition, development, and integration- Experience with Windows & Unix/Linux- Experience with Agile methodology for software development- Active TS/SCI Clearance OR active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility or higher Job Requirements:
